Overheard in Connecticut
Guy: So they fired him.
Girl: Wait, was he fired or let go?
Guy: It's the same thing isn't it?
Girl: No, fired means you did something wrong. Being let go means they don't have a place for you anymore. Like with downsizing and stuff.
Guy: Oh, I didn't realize there was a difference.
